IWC of Vijayawada DIVAS has conducted an Awareness Program on Prakruti – Clean Planet, Green Future. Ch. Tarasri addressed the importance of oxygen-releasing indoor plants to improve the quality of air as the use of appliances and chemicals has grown in households.
President Dr. Satya Bora has signed an MOU, in the presence of District Chairman, G. Aruna Sree gaaru, and released a poster for Cocos Planters Zone to supply 1 lakh oxygen-releasing indoor plants in phases during this whole year to various institutions.

IWC of Vijayawada DIVAS has conducted an Awareness Program on Career Edge: Unlocking Professional Potential. M. Karthik Chowdary, COO of Career Edge addressed the students about the importance of Softskills and building up confidence for job preparedness.

The IWC of Vijayawada Divas, in collaboration with the Municipal Corporator, government officials and ward members organized an awareness program and rally in Moghalrajpuram to highlight the importance of maintaining clean surroundings and preventing waterlogging. As part of the initiative, BTI was used for sewer disinfection and chemicals were sprayed in the area to curb mosquito breeding. The campaign aimed at creating a healthier, mosquito-free environment for the community.

On August 12th, the IWC of Vijayawada DIVAS extended its support and compassion to the students of Vijaya Mary Blind School by organising a special dinner and snacks donation drive.
The initiative included:
A wholesome non-vegetarian dinner for the children and staff.
A variety of snacks, including refreshing squashes prepared by young women entrepreneurs, thereby also supporting and encouraging local women-led businesses
This thoughtful gesture combined care for the differently-abled community with the empowerment of women entrepreneurs, making the project more impactful and multidimensional.

Project Category: Reach Out For A Better World – Family Welfare: Health & Community – Community Welfare ProgramOn the occasion of Indias 79th Independence Day, the IWC of Vijayawada DIVAS proudly celebrated the spirit of patriotism by organising a flag hoisting ceremony at the local Grama Sachivalayam. The event brought together our members and village representatives in a meaningful gesture of unity and respect for the nation. After the flag hoisting, everyone joined in singing the National Anthem, followed by an exchange of greetings and expressions of gratitude for the countrys freedom and progress. We had snacks & drinks during this event.

The IWC of Vijayawada DIVAS organised an awareness program on the importance of technology and digital literacy in todays world. The session highlighted how technology is rapidly shaping every aspect of life and why computer knowledge and software skills are essential for both students and women.
During the talk, we introduced the computer and software classes that our club is arranging to provide hands-on training and skill development. We also shared a list of software tools that will be taught and demonstrated how emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be applied in everyday life.
Participants were encouraged to sign up for these classes by contacting the club, ensuring that this opportunity reaches anyone interested in building a brighter future through technology.

Status Of Women: Care For Women & Girls – Support Women By Skill Training
The IWC of Vijayawada DIVAS organized an inspiring program focused on womens empowerment through sustainable farming practices. The session was designed to highlight the importance of growing native vegetables and greens at home, both for personal use and as a means of generating income.
During the talk, experts shared insights on:
The benefits of cultivating native plants and their role in ecological balance
Practical guidance on home gardening and organic farming trends
How women can commercialize surplus yield to create small-scale business opportunities
To put this knowledge into action, we distributed over 40 varieties of native vegetable and greens seeds to villagers, encouraging them to begin their own kitchen gardens. This initiative not only promoted self-sufficiency but also introduced opportunities for entrepreneurship among women in the community.
The event concluded with the distribution of local snacks and drinks, creating an atmosphere of learning, sharing, and fellowship.
