Children who are under 18 yrs of age are kept in this home for the purpose of care, treatment, education, training , development and rehabilitation. The Government Home for Girls in Visakhapatnam is meant for 7 Districts.( Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, East Godavari, West Godavari Krishna and Guntur Districts).
