Project Description

On the occasion of World Mangrove Day, the Inner Wheel Club of Kakinada, District 302, participated in an environmental awareness programme organized at the Chollangi Mangrove Forest, Kakinada.

The programme was conducted under the leadership and guidance of Sri Ramachandra Rao Garu, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Kakinada Forest Division. As part of a nationwide environmental initiative, more than 5,000 students from 9 states across India participated in drawing competitions on the themes “Bird’s Nest” and “If I Were a Bird.”

The winners were felicitated with mementoes and certificates during the programme. Students were also educated on the importance of environmental conservation, biodiversity, and the protection of mangrove ecosystems. Environmental awareness competitions and interactive sessions were conducted to inspire students to become responsible stewards of nature.

The event was sponsored and organized under the guidance of District 302 ISO Mrs. M. Susatya Rekha.

Representing the Inner Wheel Club of Kakinada, the following members actively participated in the programme:

Mementoes, certificates, lunch, and refreshments were provided to the participants.
