Sarita Lunani

Sarita Lunani is an extremely focused and result-oriented leader with expertise in revenue acceleration, financial planning, and management. Her strong business acumen, analytical thinking, networking, and communication skills are traits that have contributed significantly to her success. A passionate Inner Wheel member for 26 years, she has worked in various capacities and enhanced its growth.

Sarita joined Inner Wheel Club of Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, in 1996. She won the Outstanding President and Secretary awards in her District in 1998 and 1996, respectively. As Club President she undertook several permanent construction projects for community development.

Sarita has many firsts to her credit….

• As District 302 Chairman in 2008 – 2009, she initiated the first joint project of the District by donating Rs.3,50,000/- to a cancer hospital. Started three new clubs and revived one club. Membership increased by 100 members.
• She was the first from District 302 to be elected as the Association Secretary and Association Vice President in 2009 and 2011, respectively.
• Assumed office as the 37^th Association President for the year 2012-2013. As National Representative, she was the Chair and Financial planner of the Triennial Convention in Hyderabad (India), with record attendance of 2500 delegates from 17 countries. She also added 51 new clubs and 1561 new members.
• Prepared the blueprint which was instrumental in winning the bid to host the International Convention in India for the first time, held in Jaipur in 2021.
• Has attended 5 IIW Conventions as Voting Delegate and was a Speaker in 2 IIW Conventions – Istanbul and Melbourne, respectively. In the Melbourne Convention, she moderated the first talk show for a full hour in the Business session.
• Was a Trainer for the Incoming Chairman Institute for 6 consecutive years from 2009 – 2014.
• Attended 9 Triennial Conferences as Voting Delegate.
• Was the Convener for 2nd AC Meeting and South Zone Meet held in Vijayawada, in 2018. She has been the Chair and financial planner of many Association events and seminars in District 302.
• Was a member of the Constitution and Credential Committee of Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India for three years from 2016 – 2019.
• Hosted and moderated the first ever Global Webinar in 2020, where 28 countries participated.
• As Zonal Literacy Coordinator, she has facilitated in motivating the completion of around 500 Happy Schools in India in 11 Inner Wheel Districts.
• She was the Zonal Co Ordinator of Mission Mamta for 9 Inner Wheel Districts.
• She has moderated Talk Shows with many IIW Presidents.
• Master of Ceremonies for the first ever virtual changeover ceremony of International Inner Wheel in 2022.

Riding the crest of the waves with elan, She just completed her three-year term as IIW Treasurer with grace, She is the first Treasurer from District 302 and the third Treasurer from India for IIW.
