Ageing – Senior Citizens
Inner Wheel Club of Vijayawada Midtown celebrated World Senior Citizens Day in association with the Senior Citizens Club. The club sponsored ₹10,000 towards the day’s event in the presence of Mrs. K. G. V. Sarita Garu, IPS. We also supported the Senior Citizens Club in organising a health camp for the members, promoting health awareness and well-being among senior citizens.

As part of our commitment towards supporting education and empowering young minds, Inner Wheel Club of Vijayawada Midtown sponsored the college fees of 10 underprivileged Polytechnic students. This initiative was undertaken to provide financial assistance to deserving students and help them continue their education with greater confidence and fewer financial challenges. Through this small contribution, the club aims to encourage students to pursue their studies and build a brighter future.

Conducted an informative awareness session for Polytechnic students covering important documents, online government services, passport process, basic financial documentation and common mistakes to avoid. The session was conducted by Gautami Kishor. As part of the initiative, financial support was also provided towards the fees of underprivileged students..
Community Service
On the occasion of Ganesh Visarjan, our club distributed 200 exam pads to school-going children, supporting them in their studies and encouraging their educational needs. A small gesture of care and service to bring smiles and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children.
Drawing Competition on World Peace Day
Conducted a Drawing Competition on World Peace Day at Siddhartha Navodaya School for children. The competition encouraged children to express their thoughts and creativity on the theme of peace, friendship and harmony. Certificates were given to all participants, and prizes were presented to the winners in appreciation of their creativity and enthusiastic participation. The programme also promoted the values and service spirit of Inner Wheel among young minds.
General Body Meeting & Shravan Laxhmi Celebration
Inner Wheel Club of Vijayawada Midtown successfully conducted its General Body Meeting followed by a beautiful Shravan Laxhmi Celebration.
Teachers day celebrations
On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the Inner Wheel Club of Vijayawada Midtown felicitated 15 school teachers and aayas as a small token of appreciation for their valuable contribution and dedicated service. They were honoured with beautiful cards, gifts and shawls, making the celebration warm and memorable. ❤️🙏🏻
Krishna astami celebrations
On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, a joyful celebration was organized with the little children of a kindergarten school. The celebration brought smiles and festive cheer to the young ones.
Senior Citizens / Community Service
As part of our commitment towards the welfare of senior citizens, we extended our support to HelpAge India, an NGO working for the care and dignity of elderly people in our country since 1978. HelpAge India has a presence across 22 states and more than 500 districts, supporting underprivileged elderly people through initiatives such as cataract treatment, mobile healthcare units, and elderly self-help groups. Through this initiative, we contributed towards providing essential food, shelter and medical support to elderly people in need, helping them live with greater care, dignity and security.
Srimantam was done for a needy woman
A Srimantam was done for a needy woman in her seventh month of pregnancy. She was presented with a saree, fruits, sweets, and traditional sringar items, along with financial assistance. She was also advised to take proper care of her health and consume nutritious and healthy food for the well-being of herself and her baby.
